Advertising spend in newspapers and magazines to drop 10%
Research has revealed that advertising on newspapers and magazines is set to fall below 10% of total spend in the UK in 2019.
The report published by advertising media group GroupM also said ratio spent on print media will continue to fall into 2020.
News brands and magazines will make up 9.3% of spend in 2019. In 2018, the figure was 10.3%, and 17% in 2015. Overall advertising spend in the UK will rise by 61% to £21.8bn by the end of 2019, offsetting some of the market share decline.
