Eat 17 adds delivery service
Spar chain Eat 17 has partnered with start-up Grocemania to offer online deliveries from its Walthamstow store in London.
Customers can order any of 33 products from the retailer, including fresh produce, confectionery, tobacco and alcohol. Brands include Foster’s and Warburtons.
A pack of Marlboro Gold King Size is priced at £14.60 on the website, more than £3 above the RRP. The partnership between the two businesses marks the first time the Spar chain, which has two other shops in London and one in Bishop’s Stortford, has offered an online delivery service.
More than 32 retailers across London, including Londis, Budgens and unaffiliated stores, have partnered with Grocemania. Unlike rivals such as Deliveroo, Grocemania does not charge a fee for retailers to join.
