Magnum enters premium chocolate market

Ice cream brand Magnum has moved into the premium chocolate market with what it is calling this year’s most exciting innovations in confectionery.

Available from September, the four new formats come from a partnership between Unilever and Kinnerton.

Magnum Block Chocolate Bars come in a 90g sharing format and are available in three flavours, white chocolate with Madagascan vanilla pods, single origin dark Magnum chocolate with cocoa nibs, and classic Magnum milk chocolate.

A 31g Magnum Chocolate Almond Bar is also available to appeal to impulse shoppers.

With the boxed chocolate sector growing by 2.3%, the Magnum Collection comes in 180g, RRP £6, and 280g packs, RRP £12.

Magnum Chocolate Thins come in 180g packs, RRP £5, in three flavours, Classic, Expresso and Mint.
