NFRN calls on Scottish MPs to support local retailers

NFRN calls on Scottish MPs to support independent retailers on key business issues at the Scottish Parliamentary Reception 2018 at the Scottish Parliament

Scottish MP’s demonstrated their support of independent retailers at the launch of NFRN’s 2018 Independent Retail Report in Scotland.

From retail crime to deposit return schemes, Members of Holyrood and NFRN representatives gathered to discuss the challenges facing over 1,500 independents throughout the country.

“It’s important we lobby the regional parliaments for NFRN members, because those are the legislators that change things,” NFRN President Linda Sood told RN.

Addressing the SMPs, she commended: “Your presence here indicates you care about independent retailers”. NFRN Scottish Council President Rory O’Brien agreed, adding: “These are the people that are growing our economy.”

Launching the report, Graeme Day MSP said: “I want to congratulate the NFRN for their commitment.”
