A huge star-studded line-up, headlined by Jessie J, has been announced for the second year of GroceryAid’s Barcode Festival in London.

A huge star-studded line-up has been announced for the second year of GroceryAid’s Barcode Festival in London.

Global chart-topping pop musician Jessie J is to headline, with double Brit Award winning electronic duo Basement Jaxx and Radio 1 staple DJ Nick Grimshaw also performing.

The event, at Hawker House in London on 4 July will raise money to support those in need from throughout the UK grocery industry, from the shop to the factory.

40 wholesalers, retailers and suppliers sponsored the event last year, including Bestway, Booker, Mars Wrigley, Waitrose, Morrisons, Tesco, Coca-Cola and Carlsberg. GroceryAid said “very many” of these firms had confirmed sponsorship of this year’s event.

Last year’s event raised more than £250,000 for the good cause.

Steve Barnes, CEO, GroceryAid commented, “Last year numerous companies used Barcode tickets as a team incentive or reward.  I’m convinced this year’s amazing line-up will encourage even more grocery colleagues to ensure they get to join the party.”

Tickets to the event, which include all food and drink, cost £300.
