Frozen Brothers has been slammed by retailers after announcing a raft of price increases, and not specifying what is affected.

In an email sent to stores, and seen by Better Retailing, the slush operator, informed stores it would be increasing prices from 15 May, “due to rising costs and price increases from our suppliers”.

However, the firm failed to specify exactly what would be affected, and by how much, creating frustration amongst retailers.

Based on pricing sent to Better Retailing, a case of ten syrups has increased by £2.33 since the changes, going up from £101.38 to £103.71.

In response, one retailer, who wished to remain anonymous described the move as “one thing after another”, following ongoing issues with machine breakdowns, and a level of “poor customer service” from Frozen Brothers.

The email went on to read: “We know that price increases are never great news, and we want you to know that we’ve worked hard to keep them to a minimum.

“We’re grateful for your loyalty and understanding as we continue to uphold our commitment to quality. You can trust that we’ll keep providing you with the best frozen drink brands on the market.”
