An NFRN spokesperson said the visits would ensure members are up to date on all areas of the NFRN and the benefits it offers to stores

The NFRN’s newly formed membership development executive (MDE) team has pledged to visit each member personally at least once a year.

The MDE’s primary role is to drive recruitment across the trade group, following the addition of 1,100 new retailers last year.

Speaking at the London district council meeting earlier this month, London and South Coast MDE Andrea Parlagreco confirmed the team had visited 10% of members, with 150 recruited in the past three months.

“If you are unable to solve a problem using [the] Connect [helpline], then we are on hand to visit and help you out personally,” he said.

In a presentation, Parlagreco said the visits would ensure members are up to date on all areas of the NFRN and the benefits it offers to stores.

In addition, the MDE team would use the leverage of the group to maximise offerings, whether that’s helping to make money, save it or keep business running smoothly.

Head of field operations Phil Jaggard said: “All members will be seen, and newer members who may need more support will also be visited.”
