Booker has issued a product recall for its range of Elux, SKE Crystal and IVG disposable vapes due to a “manufacturing quality issue”.

In a message sent to retailers on 12 April, and seen by BR, the wholesaler confirmed the six affected flavours for Elux includes Mr Blaze, Tiger Blood, Sweet Blueberry Ice, Pink Lemonade, Blueberry Raspberry, and Watermelon Ice all in 20mg.

The affected batch codes are listed as KB151208, KB151104, KB150831, and KB151229.

This followed with a message confirming the full list of 10 affected flavours for SKE Crystal as Kiwi Passion Fruit Guava, Watermelon Ice, Bull Ice, Berry Ice, Cherry Ice, Lemon & Lime, Vimbull Ice, Fresh Menthol Mojito, Sour Apple and Rainbow all in 20mg.

The affected IVG bars include the four flavours, Blue Raspberry Ice, Classic Menthol, Pink Lemonade and Strawberry / Watermelon.

Booker apologised for any inconvenience caused to retailers and said: “If you have any of the affected products purchased from Booker Retail Partners, please remove from sale and submit a claim via the web portal for the products to be collected and a refund to be processed.”

However, SKE Crystal is expected to be back on shortly, according to an industry source, in addition to Elfbar and Lost Mary returning to full strength over the next few weeks.

This is the latest development in the Elfbar scandal after the Daily Mail newspaper revealed that several Elfbar 600’s had at least 50% more nicotine e-liquid than the 2ml UK legal limit.

Leading supermarkets including Tesco, Sainsbury’s and Morrisons issued a nationwide ban on Elfbar products before Elfbar “wholeheartedly” apologised for what it called a manufacturing error.

Leaked testing data commissioned by BAT later claimed that nearly all major disposable vaping brands not produced by a major tobacco manufacturer contain illegal levels of e-liquid.

More recently, Booker and One Stop went on to withdraw their range of Lost Mary BM600 disposable pods from sale similarly due to a manufacturing quality issue.
