Britvic reports retail sales uptick

Overall revenue for the firm increased by 7.3% to £411m versus last year

Britvic has revealed an uptick in its retail revenue sales across the UK.

In its latest trading statement, for the months up to 31 December 2022, the soft drinks producer saw retail and hospitality revenue increase by 9.8%. Elsewhere, it reported strong Christmas trading, with December revenue up by 9%, led by Great Britain at 13.8%.

Chief executive, Simon Litherland said: “Our performance in the first quarter was robust and in-line with our expectations. Our portfolio of trusted, family favourite brands offer great value and continue to resonate strongly with consumers.

“We have continued to take decisive action to mitigate the impact of cost inflation with disciplined revenue management and a relentless focus on cost efficiency, to protect profit and margin.”

Overall revenue for the firm increased by 7.3% to £411m versus last year. Litherland added Britvic intends to carry out a brand refresh for Robinsons, alongside “exciting marketing campaigns”.
