The move will result in approximately 160 own-brand lines stamped with ‘Selected by Tesco’ in a bid to strengthen the link between One Stop and its owner.
Uppal is currently stocking two products, and said shoppers have responded well. “A lot of customers have noticed, and it helps give them confidence in the Tesco brand, knowing the product is of high quality,” he said. “I’m really happy and I think its going to result in higher sales.”
