Retailers from all over the country have worked hard to develop their stores with the Independent Achievers Academy, and we are proud to announce the retail stars of 2018.
Held at top London venue 8 Northumberland Avenue on Wednesday 29 November, the IAA Gala Dinner recognised retailers who have performed brilliantly across 12 categories including Shop Layout, Effective Ranging and Retail Innovation. The evening culminated in the crowning of the IAA Overall Best Shop.

Paul & Gail are passionate about availability. They’ve added more gap checks as they’ve grown and are up to ten a day to ensure shelves are stocked and shoppable.

Siva’s shop has a remarkable feel and ambience, it’s a place you want to shop. He’s thought through every aspect when approaching the redesign, using customer feedback and researching for a year before making changes

Keith follows category insight to increase sales, using planograms and ensuring that fast selling items are always at eye-level.

Eddie has a strategy around how he uses displays around the shop and showed he understands how in-store display benefits his business.

Alpesh traces fresh food to its origin and monitoring temperatures throughout its journey to the shop, as well as once it arrives in-store.

Meryl & David setup a home delivery service for vulnerable customers, offer a parcel collection service and look after keys for nearby charity shops.
