Hit music mag rolls into stores

Retailers have the chance to stock a thriving new rock magazine after customer demand resulted in it picking up a major distribution deal.

Retailers have the chance to stock a thriving new rock magazine after customer demand resulted in it picking up a major distribution deal.

The bimonthly Rock Candy magazine has teamed up with distributor Marketforce to enable newsagents to order the previously mail-order-only seventies and eighties rock-themed magazine from wholesalers.

Rock Candy’s fifth issue, available this month, will be the first to be available on newsstands, priced at £6.99.

The magazine launched in March 2017 and is headed up by music journalist Howard Johnson and Hard Candy record label owner Derek Oliver.

“We had many requests from customers asking for us to be available to buy in shops. We realised that the magazine had to grow via retail,” the duo said in a statement.
