Confex buying app improves online ordering

Retailers who buy from Confex group wholesalers will see improvements to their online ordering process, thanks to the buying group’s new smartphone app.

Retailers who buy from Confex group wholesalers will see improvements to their online ordering process, thanks to the buying group’s new smartphone app.

The app, which launched this month, enables retailers to order stock using their smartphones for either delivery or collection from a cash and carry.

Notifications about the latest promotions and products will also be sent through the app.

It is currently only available through 30 wholesalers, such as soft drinks specialists Adamsons and Chapple & Jenkins, but it will be made accessible through all of Confex’s 291 wholesalers by the end of April.

Confex business development director Tom Gittins told RN: “The app will make it easier for retailers to run their businesses and we want to improve how our wholesalers help their customers electronically.

“They don’t need to go through a tedious logging-in progress, like they would through a web browser, and it will make the ordering of stock more time-efficient for them.”

The app has been produced by RNF Digital Innovation, which produces a similar product for Bestway retailers.
