Schweppes enters RTD market with new line up

The launch comes as the RTD category in Britain is worth more than £600m

Coca-Cola Europacific Partners (CCEP) is bringing Schweppes’ mixer expertise to the ready-to-drink (RTD) cocktail space for the first time with the launch of Schweppes Mix – a  range of pre-mixed cocktails in two variants.

The launch comes as the RTD category in Britain continues to thrive, now worth £631 million and outperforming beer, wine and spirits in terms of average growth each year.

Gin Twist, which has an ABV of 5.5% is a crisp and refreshing citrus-forward blend. Meanwhile, Paloma Bliss, with an ABV of 6% combines grapefruit and tequila, capitalising on the popularity of one of the world’s fastest-growing spirits. Both lines are available to convenience retailers in 250ml can at an RSP of £2.20.

CCEP is supporting retailers with a range of Schweppes-branded point-of-sale kits via My.CCEP.com, all designed to maximise visibility and drive trial at the chiller. The supplier says that with 82% of shoppers preferring a cold drink when consuming immediately, placing Schweppes Mix in chillers throughout store will be key to success.
