Oven cleaning brand Oven Pride has joined forces with food influencer Toby Inskip, popularly known as Eating with Tod, and Professor Christopher Elliott, one of the UK’s leading food safety experts, for ‘Grill with Pride’ summer campaign.
The campaign, which focusses on BBQ hygiene and safety, will run across various platforms including radio, PR and social media. As part of the partnership, Oven Pride will also be the official sponsor of Fume BBQ Festival’s flagship 2025 events in London and Manchester.

New research commissioned by Oven Pride found that one in six Brits wrongly believe flames kill bacteria, while more than a quarter think a little dirt on the grill “adds flavour”, highlighting widespread BBQ hygiene myths that need to be addressed, said the supplier.
“Barbecue cooking is often thought of as low-risk, but the reality is it can present real food safety challenges if not done correctly,” said Professor Elliott. “It’s fantastic to see a brand like Oven Pride raising awareness and helping families grill safely through this campaign.”
Inskip added: “BBQs are where some of the best family memories are made – but they can also be where some of the worst food safety habits happen. I’ve seen everything from undercooked sausages to grills that haven’t been cleaned in months. That’s why I’m buzzing to be working with Oven Pride on this campaign. It’s fun, it’s relatable, and it’s going to help a lot of families clean up their BBQ game without killing the vibe. It’s not about being perfect – it’s about being aware, and that’s a message I’m proud to share.”
