JTI UK is increasing the number of roll-your-own (RYO) tobacco papers across its 50g pouch range from 100 to 120.

The upgrade will apply to all of JTI’s RYO brands, including: Amber Leaf 50g, Kensitas Club 50g, Benson & Hedges Blue 50g, Sterling Essential 50g, Sterling 50g, Holborn Yellow 50g and Old Holborn Original 50g, with no extra RRP.

The increased pack size comes as ultra value products continue to grow their share in the tobacco category. According to the supplier, one 50g pouch will provide 66% more cigarettes than a 30g pouch.

Lisa Anderson, marketing director at JTI UK, said: “We’re pleased to be the first manufacturer to offer 120 papers at no additional cost to retailers or their customers. With existing adult smokers continuing to opt for value and ultra value products, this upgrade in quantity increases the value and convenience of our 50g rolling tobacco pouches.”
