Update: The supplier said the launch aims to build on the success of last year’s Absolut and Sprite launch, which was the number one new RTD product in 2024 according to Nielsen.
Additionally, consumer testing revealed an 84% purchase intent, with a majority saying they could enjoy more than two cans in one session.
CCEP will support the launch with a symmer marketing campaign across social media, influencer partnerships and outdoor advertising.
Additionally, the drink will be the official bar partner at dance-music festival Tomorrowland.
Elaine Maher, associate director, Alcohol RTD at CCEP GB, said: “Vodka remains a top choice for RTDs, while lemon-lime soft drinks are a staple mixer. By adding a bold watermelon twist, we’re tapping into the number one growth driver – flavour innovation – and offering consumers a fresh new way to enjoy a classic combination.”
