“It’s definitely the healthy options that are becoming more and more popular with mums in my store. Bagged fruit goes really well, and I’ve recently started stocking a new line called Bounce, from a company which makes little healthy snack bars. The Natural Confectionery Company products are also big sellers in my store.
But in general, it’s healthier options that do really well, rather than sweets, chocolate and crisps, which is something I have noticed happening progressively over the last couple of years. I try to offer locally-made options for kids too, and products that are sugar-free and free from artificial colours. Parents are a lot more wary of what they’re giving their kids as snacks nowadays.”
