Peter Wagg, Jai Singh and Bob and Sue Young have been announced as the three retailers to feature in this year’s innovative Local Shop Summit videos.  The world premiere of the videos at the summit in Torquay on 10 June will inspire independent retailers to learn from the example of their peers to Get Local Right.

Peter Wagg’s chain of shops at London’s Canary Wharf are brilliant examples of how a non-affiliated independent can match the world’s best multiple retailers. Bob and Sue’s rural Wiltshire shop demonstrates how an independent couple can use creativity, strategic ranging and a personal touch to win shopper loyalty. And Jai Singh’s Sheffield store demonstrates how independent retailers can keep up-do-date with the latest marketing and technology ideas to grow their customer base.

“Last year’s videos created a real stir at the Local Shop Summit,” says organiser Caroline Cronin. “And the feedback from delegates was the ability to see round great retailers’ shops and hear how they did was energising and inspiring.”

The videos complement the messages of John Stanley, the world retail expert who is headlining the speaker list. Mr Stanley will teach delegates how to increase their average sale per customer and inspire them to Get Local Right.
