Emily James, daughter of retailer Jonathan James, has launched Tipl, a range of non-alcoholic ready-to-drink (RTD) cocktails, available to convenience retailers through Dorset-based independent retailer Dike & Son.

Tipl is targeted at the growing number of people seeking low- and no-alcohol options. It also contains added nootropics and vitamins and is vegan.

It is launching in Spicy Margarita and Mojito varieties, both in 250ml cans with a £2.89 RRP. Spicy Margarita contains Lime, Chilli, Vitamin B1, Vitamin B5, Vitamin C and Ginseng, while Mojito has L-Theanine and Vitamin C.

James plans to expand the range with an Expresso Martini variant.

Trade orders have been set up with Dike & Son so retailers can order cases from its website, ahead of planned listings in delivered wholesalers.

Adam Vincent, company director of Dike & Son, said: “was lucky enough to work at one of Jonathan’s stores in my early career when I was working for Budgens, when Emily was a baby! So to be the first retailer to try it and stock it is great from my perspective.

“We tasted it with a number of staff and it’s absolutely delicious. We expect our customers will love them and are excited to see how the cans perform.”
