We require all posts to be polite, constructive and on-topic. By posting on our site, you indicate that you accept both our User Community Terms of Service as well our Five Community Standards outlined here:
The Five Community Standards
1. Be respectful – Respect all forum members and experts and their opinions, as well as moderators and the job they are required to do. Please do not post duplicate messages or post in capital letters – members regard this as shouting. Do not use obscene language including characters such as *, !, ?, #, or $ to replace letters . Remember that differences of opinion or a misunderstanding can be resolved without name-calling, insults and bullying. Please do not post private email addresses or contact details which are not already n the public domain.
2. Be legal – Do not make unproven or unfounded allegations against a company or individual. Be very careful using words such as “con”, “scam”, “fraud”, “cheat”, “swindle”, “thieves”, “crooks”, “criminals”, “deceit” or similar – regardless of the emotion you may be feeling. Consider your words carefully – don’t exaggerate or use innuendo. You are legally responsible for your posts and must be able to prove – in a court of law – that what you are posting has not caused material damage to the company or individual and is a true statement. Do not post a comment on an upcoming or on-going court case – you may be in contempt of court.
3. Be responsible – Remember that any advice or information given is the opinion of the forum member. Please be aware that some members may claim expertise or status that they do not possess; use discretion in following any advice. Do not deliberately mislead members with false, inaccurate or incorrect information. Do not advertise services or attempt to solicit business through the forum area. Do not engage in off-topic political or religious discussion. Do not impersonate a forum member, community moderator or betterretailing.com employee.
4. Be reasonable – Please do not post any copyrighted, unlawful, defamatory, discriminatory, insulting, vulgar, obscene or otherwise objectionable messages or material. Do not attempt to promote or publicise companies considered to be in direct competition with betterretailing.com. 5. Be up-front – Email addresses and links to websites should not be posted on the open forum. If you wish to contact other forum members – or you are happy for them to contact you – place your details in your profile. These must be personal email addresses or websites and not for commercial or business use.
Breaking the Community Standards
If we believe you have violated these standards, we may take whatever action we consider appropriate, including editing or removing your posts or, in the case of severe or repeated violations, revoking your posting privileges or terminating your membership. Our decisions are final.
If you believe another user has violated these standards, please press the ‘Spam!’ button, send an email to the betterretailing.com@newtrade.co.uk. We will review your report as soon as possible. Please remember that we may not be able to edit or remove a particular message immediately.
Although we actively monitor postings, we are not responsible for the content of any posts other than our own. Each post expresses the individual views of the author of that particular post and not necessarily the views of betterretailing.com or Newtrade Publishing Ltd, or any entity associated with this website. We may, at any time, and without prior or post warning, close and/or remove discussions on message boards, as we feel appropriate. No discussion will be entered into.
Complaints
If you have a complaint about a post on this community forum, please feel free to respond directly to any concerns our members have raised – particularly if you feel they are inaccurate, untrue or portray an unfair picture of your company or you as an individual. You may also outline the detail of your complaint in an email to betterretailing.com@newtrade.co.uk
User community terms and conditions
General
betterretailing.com is currently provided as a free service to any user who agrees to abide by the terms and conditions of these terms of service. Reading a message posted to the betterretailing.com, and posting a message to the betterretailing.com, will constitute acceptance of the terms and conditions of this agreement. If you do not agree to be bound by these terms, please do not read or post messages.
betterretailing.com reserves the right to alter these Terms of Service at any time without notice to you. Please check the Terms of Service periodically, to see whether a change has been effected. If you do not agree with any such changes, please discontinue further use of the CFA. Your continued use of the CFA will signify your acceptance of any changes made to the Terms of Service set out here.
betterretailing.com may modify, or discontinue, the site with, or without, notice to you, and without liability to you, or to any third party.
betterretailing.com intends the site for use by you in the United Kingdom only. We make no warranty or representation that the site (or any element of it) is appropriate, or available, for use in locations outside the United Kingdom. Accessing the site from territories where your access to it is prohibited, or where any such service is considered illegal, or unlawful, is not permitted under these Terms of Service. If you choose to access the site from locations outside the United Kingdom, you do so on your own initiative, and you are responsible for compliance with all applicable local laws.
Registration
Although portions of the site may be viewed by anyone who visits them, you will need to register as a member in order to post on the message boards.
When you register with us, you are stating that you are over 18 years of age. We do not allow persons we know to be under 18 years of age to register with betterretailing.com.

Message Rules
You are entirely liable for all activities conducted by you, or by others authorised by you, or otherwise acting on your behalf. You agree not to do any of the following actions whilst using betterretailing.com:-
* To harass, threaten, embarrass, or cause distress, or discomfort, to another participant, user, or other individual or entity;
* To transmit or publish via betterretailing.com any information or other data or materials (“Content”) that can be considered to be unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, vulgar, obscene, hateful, or racially, ethnically or otherwise objectionable;
* To impersonate any other person or entity, whether actual or fictitious, or to create a member name intended to mimic a betterretailing.com member of staff or community moderator;
* To disrupt the normal flow of dialogue in betterretailing.com, or to act in a manner that adversely affects other participants;
* To post or transmit any unsolicited advertising, promotional materials, or any other forms of solicitation in betterretailing.com, except in any areas that may be designated for such a purpose; and
* To intentionally, or unintentionally, violate any applicable local, regional, national, or international law, including, but not limited to, any regulations having the force of law, whilst using or accessing the site, or in connection with your use of the site in any manner.
Any posting which violates these community terms of service will be removed and betterretailing.com reserves the right to close the accounts of any persistent violators of these terms of service. betterretailing.com will edit or remove any posting which contains any phone number or email address.
Our members must also respect the character, quality and atmosphere of the community. Breaking these terms and conditions, which includes failing to respect the character, quality and atmosphere of the community, and which also includes making postings which demand a disproportionate amount of time and/or moderation by betterretailing.com, may result in your user account being banned. The length of such a ban will be at the discretion of betterretailing.com, and can be permanent. Withdrawal of Account
betterretailing.com reserves the right to prohibit those who breach these Terms of Service, and to terminate any accounts the user might have. If your account has been withdrawn as a result of your breach of these Terms of Service, you may not open another account with betterretailing.com, and we reserve the right to similarly terminate any such further account.

betterretailing.com may contact you by email to advise you of any edits to your posts, or if your account has been suspended or closed.
Disclaimer of Warranties
You expressly agree that use of the betterretailing.com is at your own risk. betterretailing.com shall not be responsible to you for any content found on the site. betterretailing.com expressly disclaims all warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including, but not limited to, the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. betterretailing.com makes no warranty that the site will meet your requirements, or that the site will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free; nor does betterretailing.com make any warranty as to the results that may be obtained from the use of the site, or as to the accuracy or reliability of any information obtained through the site. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold betterretailing.com, and its subsidiaries, affiliates, officers and employees, harmless from any claim or demand, including reasonable legal fees, made by any third party due to or arising out of your use of the CFA, the violation of these Terms of Service by you, or the infringement by you (or by any other user of your account) of any intellectual property, or other, right of any other person, or entity.
Miscellaneous
This agreement shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, English Law, excluding any conflict of law provisions, and you agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English Courts for any cause of action arising out of these Terms of Service, and any claims or allegations arising out of or connected with any message posted or read on the site. In the event that any portion of these Terms of Service is deemed by a court to be invalid, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
Any failure or delay by us to enforce strict performance by you of any of the Terms of Service, or to exercise any right under the Terms of Service, will not be construed as a waiver to any extent of our rights,
betterretailing.com may assign its rights and obligations under these terms of Service, and, upon such assignment, shall be relieved of any further obligation under these Terms of Service.
